The MYP educators at AFEEL School participated in an engaging and insightful
inquiry session focused on strengthening teaching and learning practices. The
session provided valuable opportunities for educators to explore approaches
that support deeper student thinking and meaningful learning experiences.
Key areas of exploration included heuristic intelligence, Trevor Mackenzie’s
question routines, and the thoughtful use of provocations to nurture curiosity in
the classroom. Educators examined ways to frame authentic and open ended
questions, establish real life connections, and use purposeful stimuli to enhance
inquiry driven learning.
The session also supported a deeper understanding of the IB MYP unit planner,
the role of ATL skills, and the integration of the IB learner profile in everyday
practice. Collaborative discussions and reflective exchanges created a positive
and inspiring professional learning environment.
The session proved to be a rewarding and impactful experience, reflecting the
dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment of the educators at AFEEL School
toward continuous growth and inquiry focused education
