Dear Parents,
A successful school depends a great deal upon the co-operation between parents and teachers and I want to thank all the students and parents for making AFEEL what it is today. I believe that AFEEL represents a happy and hardworking community, which is only made possible by maintaining a close relationship between the teachers, parents and students.
During the past few years, we have made several developments and expansion at AFEEL. We started by inaugurating our Middle and High school campus, with new and improved state of the art and modern facilities. Along with which our previous premises has been completely redeveloped and remodelled into what is now our Pre-primary and Primary campus. Giving the children more space and facilities focused to their age group. This, in turn, also gives teachers more freedom to create a lively and stimulating learning environment for our students.
Our new campus includes a modern and fully equipped indoor multi-purpose gymnasium, so that our middle and high school students have opportunities to not only focus on different sports but to also work on their flexibility and athleticism. Along with this, we have also built a new synthetic grass ground for our students to focus on training and playing the continent’s most loved sport, football as well as other outdoor sports.
We do not only incubate a theoretical and practical learning environment, especially when living on a continent and in a country with vast amounts of talent for music, dance, art and sports. This is why our individual and inter house competitions help students flourish their talents and discover new hobbies and interests.
We are confident that the school can continue to grow and develop. We have a wonderful and motivated team of staff and teachers who work in harmony with a similar vision and towards the same target. The international and overseas programme administered by the Cambridge University Examination Syndicate in England are renowned throughout the English-speaking world and are in every way comparable and equal to the qualification earned in the UK. This is why AFEEL has chosen to follow this programme as it provides a solid basis for further studies necessary for university qualification.
Our next step is to become an accredited English-speaking school in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which will allow students to pass out with a recognised degree in order to apply to any English-speaking university in the world.
Thank you again for placing your confidence in us and in maintaining the AFEEL image and community as an English-speaking school in Lubumbashi. I look forward to our collaboration in the coming years.
